At the 14th Region semifinals at Powell County several years ago, Whitesburg was playing Perry County Central. Perry gradually pulled away, as they were the better team, but the Whitesburg fans didn't seem to care for the refereeing. One woman nearby stood up, opened her purse, pulled out numerous dollar bills and began waving them at the ref, saying "if we gave you money like Perry Central does, would you win it for us?!"

I was going to comment on how I loved that gym setup.

No offense to that Region or school but why are these Canadiens choosing them and not the Metro Louisville schools or Lexington. If they are D-1 kids wouldnt you want to be in Pitino and Cal's backyard? Or is this the KHSAA turning a blind eye as long as they are teams hidden down in EKY?
