See that will change tomorrow. Ever since that game the Eagles have out boarded there opponent including the SK nail biter. The way Scott contained Andrew Sampson and Hatton, they should be able to do that to Bolden as well.

Completely different players. Sampson and Hatton are SG's, Boldin has the ball in his hands 85% of the game and knows how to score.

This.

Also, no disrespect to either, but Bolden handles pressure and the ball much better than both and neither team has the supporting cast that Bolden has.

Hell, first match up between the two, Glover had 16 off the bench for Holmes while Coston was the leading scorer with 21.

You can key on those two players and beat Dixie/SK. Do that with Holmes, and there are others that can score just as well.

Outside of SK, who has Scott played that they shouldn't have out-rebounded after that game?

For the most part I agree. Andrew doesn't try to handle the ball unless he's penetrating, he knows his strengths. If you forget about Riley and he'll kill you, I haven't seen Dixie this year so u can't comment on Brandon as their ball handler.

And Scott scored the 2nd most points in a game on Holmes. That stat is meaningless.

My guess on the match ups:

Bolden v Pouncy

Palmer v Castleman

Coston v Felts

Englemon v ????

Chames v Jackson

Jackson struggled against Chames' length and size in the first match up. A lot of his points came off jumpers against Chames. He scored pretty well down low against Englemon. The only problem was that Englemon was in foul trouble, therefor couldn't be as aggressive or contest shots like he normally does.

I'd be willing to bet you see Jackson matched up with Chames more than Englemon.

PPG, you can go to the KHSAA site and just look at their schedule:

Holmes 19-0

Points for: 1287 (1287 / 19 = 67.7 ppg)

Points against: 985 ( 985 / 19 = 51.8)

Scott 9-7

Points for: 1063 ( 1063 / 16 = 66.4 ppg)

Points against: 926 (926 / 16 = 57.8 ppg)

Outside of giving up 76 to Pendlenton Co, Holmes has scored the 2nd most points in a game on Scott.

Something else to keep an eye on is rebounding. Holmes killed Scott on the boards last time 30-17.

This should be a good one, both teams can be very good. Let's hope they both play their best and may the best team win. On the road, sorry I can't be there.

Hatton has the ball in his hand probably 90 percent of the time! Have you seen him play? But what you said about Sampson is probably true.

Scott plays team defense and switches most everything. Never seen a Brad Carr coached team come out and just say " you got him". Should be a fun night in Taylor Mill though.

All I can say is if Holmes shoots the 3 ball like they did in the first half of their first matchup then not sure many teams can beat Holmes. Walter what do they shoot behind the arc for the year vs the first half of their first game?

I'm a little concerned that the refs will impact the game too much this go around. Hopefully they will let them play and the players decide on the floor. The first matchup was hard to watch as it seemed to be above that particular crews abilities.

Not sure how anyone can pick Scott over Holmes given their success. However I have no doubt Scott can beat them. I don't see it being impossie at all. Holmes better be hot and stroke it again. The pressure is all on them.

Not sure of the exact number that they shoot from outside, but Holmes has shot well from outside all season. They've had a few games where they haven't looked too great from outside, but overall they're a good shooting team.

BIggest key to the game is stop Jackson. He is the only one that can single handedly beat them. Again, if not for him getting hot the last 12 minutes or so of the first game, it's a blowout. Holmes can't let him get going. That fuels the rest of the team and when they play with confidence, they are a tough group.

Whoever loses will blame the refs....fact.

Come on now.... He wasn't the only one. I believe Felts hit a couple of shots during the stretch as well as Pouncy getting to the rim. But I agree it did start with him.

Sounds like UC will send a coach out tonight to watch Bolden.
