I watched the all A games this weekend and I agree that Gilbert is the #1 player in the 14th.

Yeah Farmhands he just had 46 points and 16 rebounds against Gay. Sounds like he really shut him down.

If anyone watched the all a games, this questions should be mute. Cody Gilbert is the best player in the region without question.

I think he has already met Zach Gay from Buckhorn, hasn't he? Oh well anyways I want to say that Smith is a very good player and he has made his team better but as of right now I dont see him as one of the top 5 in the region. He is playing decent but not great like the others are. Only time will tell though.

i'm not taking anything away from Buckhorn, they deserved to win and outplayed the Wolves. I was just simply stating that Cody outplayed Gay that night, it was never in question that Buckhorn didn't out play the wolves.

I love your personal vandetta agianst Gilbert. This thread is about the best player not the best team. Ask all the BGP's who they would rather have your beloved Bailey or Gilbert and I gaurantee you will get an overwhelming majority who want Gilbert. It is ok that you think TB is the best player in the region but clearly he is not. He doesnt do what it takes to win, his team and coaches team do what it takes to win.

He doesn't do what it takes to win????Averaging a double /double per game usually helps your team win.Bailey takes 10-12 shots agame and averages 16-17 points,Gilbert shoots 25-30 and averages 28.10 more points on 10-13 more shots? :fire:

He was ranked #1 coming into the year and he is still #1!!!

If he is just taking 10-12 shots a game and averaging 17 points a game then he should be leading the state in field goal percentage. Something don't sound right here. Perry is right now the best team in it, but that doesn't mean they have the best player in the nation. Take the state tournament two years ago, Lofton was the best player in the state but that didn't mean his team won the state tournament did it. And he to averaged around 25 shots a game.

They have this new thing called Free Throws where a player can score points without a shot attempt being counted against him! :fire:

The he must be shooting 100% from the line,or he is shooting a lot of free throws. Because the paper lists everyone who shoots over 50% from the field and he wasn't listed.

Gilbert didn't score all of those against Gay. Gilbert handled the ball most of the night and scored most of his points behind the 3 point line. There wasn't much Gay could have done to stop this. I don't think he outplayed Gay in this game. Gay put up some big numbers in this game as well.
