NO! I think Gilbert is the best without question but that was a summary of what people have stated & there opinions. Those were all mentioned as "the best" so that would be a good start for a top 10 but most vote with their loyalty to their home school.

You honestly think Bailey is better than Gilbert?? thats how i take your remark. Bailey is a really good player but Gilbert is shoulders about any other 14th region player.

i'm going with morgan from leslie and smith from owsley in a very close 2nd. Morgan has showed up in big games such as last year in the regional and built on that this year in the wymt.He always plays hard and seems to be consistant. Smith has only been back 6 games and won 3 of them showing up big last night in the all "a" classic againest a young June B. team that recently beat perry at perry and has a nice player in Clark Stepp. It seems to be a new smith since he came back to the 14th. Gilbert would be next because his size and in game experience. He makes good in game decisions. Wach out for the wolfs since they added a few more to the team.

Tyler Bailey is the best player on the best team in the region, He is in the top 5 easy.If he is not the best player he will be next year.

IMO Smith is the most talented and athletic player in the 14th.

I don't think there is a #1 player in the region. It's to close.

There always has to be a number one. The coaches will pick one at years end and is has been normally from the regional winner or at least the one the coaches pick seems to be. Your are right.There are several good players in the 14th but just doesn't seem to be that great one that stands out. That is why I feel Gilbert is,just simply based on his size, his stats, and what he has meant to his team. Earlier this year without him they didn't have a team. I think the eligible players at Wolfe now make him even better.

Hicks hit 8 three's against Wolfe he is one of the best, better than Gilbert but, it was not meant for Hazard to win. I think he had 35 points.
