I agree Nut, any team in the 9th, or for that matter the state, would be happy to have either one them (Campbell or McDonald).

We spend so much time tearing down our rivals or teams/players/coaches that we don't like when we should just appreciate all the great talented kids we get to watch all year in the 9th region.

If more kids realized that D starts BEFORE your man had the ball they'd be much better.

True in that light, but I'm really talking about true team defense and what an individual player's responsibility is. The concept is either not taught or some players nowadays don't care about team defense.

Why should they care? It's really about points anyway. If you play tough defense, you make yourself more vulnerable for fouls. If you foul, you sit the bench. If you sit the bench, you can't score. If you can't score, you are worthless, because it's really about points anyway. (Circle begins again.)

 

Almost to the point of who cares if the team wins or loses? As long as my stats look good and I'm scoring, I'm golden. Coaches keep track of points, not how many times your man beat you baseline. JMO.
