Which one to buy?

I always agonize over a purchase like this. I can't decide, looking for someone to push me one way or the other. Please give good reasons why one of the other. I really appreciate any help.

 

Also, could a mod fix my typo, meant to type purchase not purchace.

RTS, it's an easy choice for me. I have pretty much the same Samsung TV and I love it. I'd go with the Samsung.

Actually my TV is not LED, so the one there is better than mine. It's about $200 cheaper than I paid too.

How is the sound system? The one complaint about Samsung is the sound system is not up to the same standards as the TV. I agree with you that the TV is excellent.

That won't be an issue for me, for everything I watch, the sound goes through my A/V receiver.

I'm leaning that way but I'm tempted with Smart TV with the Panasonic, plus I've heard pretty good things about the VIERA. So, even though I'm leaning, I'm still torn. Anything else to nudge it more the Samsung way?

I have had to replace plasmas this year (they last around 6 1/2 years) and got a Samsung at Sams. Happy with it.

 

Went with a Sony for the 2nd one. It was 55 inch version of this:

Best Buy matched the Amazon price when we bought it a month ago.

 

Both are LEDs replacing plasmas and both are doing fine.

 

Along with at least 4 HDMIs inputs the other useful item is the USB inputs for media.

 

Internet and built-in wireless are getting cheap.

 

 

If you are replacing an existing flat screen from a few years ago you may want to make check the sizes. The edges around the screen are much smaller. So we upped the actual screen size of both units to just keep the size of the TVs to fill the holes the same. Went from a 40 to 46 and 50 to 55. But the overall sizes where the same or less.

Not really. I don't know all that much about panasonics. I just know I have two samsungs and I love them. The picture, especially when watching a movie like the dark knight on blu ray is amazing.

As far as the smart TV, just buy an x-box. Same thing but better. Who wants to Facebook and email on their TV anyways?

By the way, I used to sell TVs. Take my word and go with Samsung.

If that's all a smart tv is good for I agree.

I have 2 Samsung TVs that are wonderful as well.
