December 20, 201213 yr I think it would be great if UK and UC could battle it out every year. It would be interesting for fans in Northern Kentucky. How does everyone else feel?
December 20, 201213 yr There is no benefit to Kentucky playing this game. Cincinnati is not a consistent top level program so it is not a marquee matchup! If Kentucky wins great, if they lose they willl never hear the end of it. It also doesn't benefit them recruiting wise because they already get the best players in Cincinnati, if they want them! There is no need to play this game.
December 20, 201213 yr There is no good reason to not play this game. Good for both teams IMO. Especially if there is no IU game.

December 20, 201213 yr Dad tells me a story that maybe Clyde or someone could elaborate more on about why Kentucky and Cincinnati never schedule each other. Goes back before the shot clock was in place. Kentucky was a heavy favorite and Cincinnati played stall ball. I believe the game was in the teens and the Wildcats barely won. They haven't played a regular season game since.
December 20, 201213 yr I think UK and UL you play the following teams yearly UC Notre Dame Ohio State IU
December 20, 201213 yr I was there last night..... Absolutely without a doubt and play it in US Bank Arena every year. It's the only way the organizers will sell out the venue. Way too many seats open last night. Like 1/3 the upper deck. The venue holds roughly 17000 people and wasn't even close to being full. You could of fooled me with the lines to the bathrooms. That was another story in it's self.....Wow!!!

December 20, 201213 yr I'd like to see it, maybe then there would be at least one sell out college basketball game in Cincinnati.

It would interest NKY but that's about it. The rest of the state doesn't give UC much thought. Not a shot against UC at all. They're just not on the radar. It could be a nice regional rivalry though. However, most teams I can think of do not play many non-conference regional rivalry games and UK already has UL.

UK vs. UNC, Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, Indiana to a lesser extent are all more nationally appealing than UC. I would personally love it, but that has more to do with my locale than anything.

Exactly, it would be cool for us NKY fans but that's about it. I'd like to see it happen.
