Terrible shot selection is what I was referring to. Of course he saw a lot of back shots jacked up tonight so he figured he would get in the party.

..and deflections and rebounds against this team tonight doesn't tell me much. No true strong PG from a passing/ballhandling perspective when healthy. When you then have to get Redford to run point....

He also led the team in boards against a very physical Marshall front line on Saturday. Dude can play, but is in a big slump from 3 and it is in his head at this point. He is hesitating every time and not just letting it go...

Cronin seemed to think that they should always have the game down at US Bank instead of on the campuses in his radio interview last night.

Let them, it will never be a sellout....IMO UC did their part last night but overall wasn't impressed with the crowd size.

Why does it have to be a sellout?

UC side was full except for about 7 rows in 2 end zone sections. X had nearly 11 sections totally empty in upper deck. Was at least 65% UC fans and probably more...

I'm not sure what to make of this UC team just yet, tough to tell from this game. Kilpatrick is a stud, potential All-American IMO. Wright and Parker can play but they certainly don't feel like a Top 10 team. I think they will have trouble lasting longer in the dance than last years squad.

As a rule I never try to take much of the Shootout game. Always a scrappy and somewhat ugly game offensively.

Kilpatrick was 10/27. IMO settled too often for a 3 instead of using his advantages and going to the rim.

Then why have fans in the stands at all. Just let them play this game at one of the local High School gyms. Because to be quite honest that's what it looked like I was watching in the first half last night. Glad I didn't spend the money for our floor seats and someone else did. So do you think the organizers at US Bank Arena were happy that the gym wasn't completely full last night? If these 2 Universities that sit so close in proximity to one another can't muster up 17000 fans between the 2 of them then why play the game at all...IMO! It's about money all the way around my friend!

XU season ticket holders skew older. I don't see them coming downtown to a crappy arena in large numbers. I would imagine UC will continue to dominate the stands if it stays at US Bank.

Agree...We were sitting around a very older group that didn't seem to like what felt like 88 steps to climb to get to the plaza level for the Bathrooms. Crappy is an understatement! When did UC stop playing their home games at Riverfront Coliseum? LOL!

Hogwash. If X has the fan base they like to claim, they should have sold WAY more tickets than they did. It was an embarrassing turnout on the Xavier side...

Only Xavier has older fans???

They host 30 plus hockey games a year that never come close to half of a sellout and they are perfectly fine with it.

Not sure how it's hogwash since a)they didn't show up and b)they sell out 10k per game at home.
