The school system will never have the funds to build it with school $ If the Raiders expect to compete on the 6A level

they have to at least have a respectable weight room, one that can hold more than just a few kids at a time.

Having a weight room in your locker room is not acceptable

 

 

Does anyone have any pictures of Ryle's weight room or lack there of? I'm guessing the perception of lack of success by Ryle's football program has less to do with the weight room than other issues.

Beechwood had a weight room worse than Highlands' till they built the new field house. Now their new weight room is so state of the art it is used frequently by Cincinnati Bengals players in the off season. During the lock out a couple years ago, there were a lot of Bengals players working out there. Any school that has upgraded facilities in the past few years probably has a very nice weight room. All the Kenton County schools, CovCath, Beechwood, NewCath, Campbell County, Cooper ...I would guess all of them have really nice weight rooms.

 

You can flat out remove Cooper from this list as having a really good weight room. Like the football field not being turfed and the practice field full of dirt and rocks, someone also missed the boat in the weight room. If you have attended a basketball game at Cooper and looked up to the small room above one of the goals you will see the weight room. Other than the baseball and softball facilities, someone missed the boat badly when planning for athletics at this school. All other aspects of the school are A+ but the weight room is extremely limited for a school this size with so many sports.
