TMC's Frisk has come a long way

Never saw Frisk...Article from Nees offers an informative perspective on him though. Quite a few setbacks for such a talent. I wonder how often similar scenario's play out each season across the country with other kids. I met Justin and have talked with him several times, but didn't know his story or his prowess on the field. I just knew him as a person and he is a very good guy.

You are a Highlands fan, and never saw Frisk? That was must watch TV right there. We played him and Jason Skirvin in back-to-back weeks. You won't find many backs better than those two in NKY annals.

 

Here's a true story w/ a slight exageration. We were playing TMC at Hanover in '01. Frisk had just transferred in. He took the handoff on a counter trap play. He hit the hole and then ran over a referee. He picked the referee up, dusted him off, asked about the kids and wife, and then ran for a TD. Now that is slightly exaggerated, but he did run over the referee, collect himself and take it to the house from about 40 yards out. He put up over 100 yards on us and they killed us. He even beat us during the City tournament in Knothole. I got to play him in chess or something b/c I've had no luck.

I remember a game Justin's Sr season when they played Rowan Co. in the 1st round of the playoffs. He touched the ball 7 plays with 5 TD's. He was worth the price of admission!!!! I am kind of a Homer for Justin because I sort of Mentored him his Senior year and tried to help him through some of his many challenges. People that think they knew have no clue what Justin has been through as a youngster!!!! Don't judge a person unless you have walked in their shoes that's for sure.....I know I couldn't have!!!

I voted for Josh Conner. He was a beast before the injury.

JBWill needs to take his Bluebird website to the next level and start making archived game footage available so we can enjoy talent like the Frisk factor, AC, and others of the like.

When I lived in Bellevue (before Kids) I would attend the high school football games and watched John Sudkamp run for Bellevue - winning state in the late 70's. Moved to Ft Thomas and started attending games with my son's when I was fortunate to see Justin run for HHS. It was great time seeing Justin run. Best HHS runner I have seen.
