Congratulations to the Breds on a great game . On a side note the home page for Caldwell Co . High School says that they lost to Newport 30-26 . They lost to the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds not the Newport Wildcats . At least get it right Sheeesh .

Amazing Emotions from Josh Cain and Elliot Rust.

They have played football together for 12 years. 8 Red Devils and 4 NCC.

After watching the replay, it was even a better game than listening to it live. Even though I already knew the outcome, I found myself going through the highs and lows that I know both teams were feeling. 4 lead changes in the last 14 minutes of the game, hook and ladders, statue of liberty plays, big play after big play with momentum swings seemingly on every other play, both teams gased and fighting thru it to the end. Now that's what HS football is all about. Incredible.

 

I have to say, Caldwell Cos QB-Sindelar, only a sophomore, is poised beyond his years. A rocket for an arm, great touch, smooth as silk, elusive. I could go on, but, I'll tell you, he's going to be a special player and I'd expect alot of D1 looks in a couple of years. He's really, really good..

I love the picture! Really shows the bond and brotherhood playing sports can create.

If I read correctly Caldwell County only had 6 seniors on their roster, this team will be back for sure next year.

I really didn't go out of my way I was curious about the school and I was trying to read the game story from the newspaper in Princeton ,but couldn't because you have to pay for an online subscription . It's something that I do after every game , I did this after the Somerset game last week . I then went to the Caldwell Co. schools web page to see if there was any story there and there it was saying that Newport beat them .The fact they don't know who defeated them and to post it on their website is just laziness or ignorance on whoever posted that . This happens a lot where NCC is misidentified as Newport . Look I graduated from Newport Catholic in '65 now Newport Central Catholic and the misidentification was going on even back then . It just gets old .

He just really was fun to watch. He seemed to put alot of heart into every play. Noticed he had a knee brace which may have caused him to be a step slower, but boy he was going to give it his all to get it done regardless.

If you want to see what the catalyst was in NCC's season ending run, just look to when #54 got healthy and back on the field.
