Go check the stats. Florida did better against FSU than they did against damn near every team on their schedule. Awesome.

Fair enough. It is terribly unfair to judge him based on the FSU D now vs the beginning of the 00's though.

 

I'm judging him against an average SEC offense. This is one of the worst offenses from Florida we have seen in a while. Against what is supposed to be one of the best FSU defenses in a while. He's not in the ACC anymore. We'll see though. I'll admit when I am wrong. I just have no faith in him today.

But he's in the SEC now. Does that not mean anything? Wow. He shut out Duke and Wake Forest and padded his stats against weak teams in the ACC. Look at his defense's stats(and the scoreboard) against good teams is all I am saying.

I am a FSU fan and I hope he is gone! Great day for FSU now we can find someone who can coach defense. He has great players at FSU look at what he has done against quality teams. His defense is ranked high because of schedule only!

This hire and the reactions from FSU fans and UK fans are interesting. As an FSU and UK fan it is neat to look at the differing expectations. The FSU fan in me wants the old dominating, fast, hard hitting, opportunistic smothering defense in the mold of the great FSU defenses that allowed FSU to compete for national titles. The UK fan in me wants a coach who can make UK competitive again and get back to the Music City Bowl level. After seeing these great Stoops defenses I question his ability to do as such because even though he made some crappy defenses less crappy they were still crappy. He'll make a mediocre team less mediocre. Guess we'll see what less mediocre is.

Baby steps. 4-8 it is.

Without knowing the staff yet, I will say 6-6 next year. It really think if Max Smith doesn't get hurt this year they would have won probably 4 games. Plus they will return a ton of good young guys that played a ton this year. If the Stoops can get the right staff and recruit at least at the level UK has in the last several years I think they can be pretty good in the next couple of years.

Mark maybe bringing FSU's OC along with him or atleast that's what the plan is
