The impact, however, would have caused massive amounts of dust and debris to be flung out into the atmosphere. Over the next few million years ish, the dust and debris condenced into a giant ball, thus forming the moon. I was watching the discovery channel a few weeks ago.

We could always send Robert Duvall up and have him land a lunar ship on the surface of a rigid object that has explosive outgassing in the sun's light and is travelling thousands of miles per hour.

I just hope that was "plan x" and not "plan a or b". It is akin to holding the gun to your own head and demanding ransom.

Deep Impact was way way better than Armegeddon. Not even close.
