November 19, 201213 yr Is it time to start considering the fact that Newton could be a bust? Some guys just seem to put up decent to good numbers and still find ways to lose. It's starting to seem that Newton is that way. There is no reason at all he should be guiding the Panthers to another top 2-3 draft pick. There's been zero improvement, in fact he seems to have gotten worse this season, from last year. As of right now, I'd much rather have Dalton, Luck, or RGIII to build my team around. Will Cam go down as the next big "bust"?

November 19, 201213 yr Sometimes it matters what kind of an organization you walk into. Most put the burden of winning and losing squarely on the QB by throwing 40 - 50 times per game. Very few NFL teams even run the ball effectively any more. I also get the impression that Newton has some personal maturation in front of him. He probably has never had to cope with losing and does not yet realize the learning opportunities that come with failure.

November 19, 201213 yr The worst thing Cam Newton did was throw for 400+ yards in his first two games. The bar was then set exceedingly high for Newton. Since those two games he has slowly regressed in to a guy that just lost his swagger. His post-game reactions and propensity to throw around blame also rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I hope he can get things rolling.
November 19, 201213 yr Josh Freeman sucked his second year as have countless other QBs who had great rookie seasons. Cam will be fine.
