November 18, 201213 yr Do those older workers lose their pensions or is something like that protected with a union? (Not 401Ks). All pensions are protected under the PBGC. November 18, 201213 yr In a way, this could benefit Kentucky, as Flowers Foods has several facilities in Kentucky and produce many similar items under the Mrs. Freshley's banner. I'm generally a union supporter, but this union seriously and stupidly overplayed its hand on this one. Let's hope future situations result in a more reasoned approach from all sides, with true compromise at the center of it all. I'm sorry , but their products are "garbage". The homeless refuse to take their products.
