November 13, 201213 yr The interesting thing about Texas is that it is quickly turning BLUE. With the Dems carrying 70% of the hispanic vote, Texas could be in play as a swing state as early as 2016 and most certainly by 2020. Although, I can't imagine a GOTV machine any better than Obama's for either party. They really wrote the book on this one. Its incredible that Romney got 2 million less votes than McCain! Not sure what you're referring to. Totals I saw Romney received more votes in Texas than McCain had and about a million less overall. Obama received about 6.5 million less than in 2008.

The Republican Party has to fight very hard to keep the people supporting this type of talk from gaining any leverage in the party. Amazingly, following the election I have seen and heard numerous Republicans talk about how the party is losing ground because they are moving away from their conservative philosophy. The Republican Party needs to get their act together. If stuff like this keeps up, they may have to change their symbol from the elephant to Chicken Little. Before you were so quick to jump on conservatives you should have checked your facts. Similar petitions were filed after Bush won in 2000. Those loonie lefties didn't hurt the democrats much, did they? Shoot, I'll probably go online and sign one just for the fun of it. Boring day.
