Didn't they play Johnson Central a few years ago? PR is right...Central historically hasn't performed at their best on the road. I'm going with Central to win, but wouldn't be surprised if Bell wins. It will be a good game, I'd suspect.

 

They went to JC in 2006 none of these on the team have experienced it.

It was 2007, and JC won that one easily. Speaking from experience, the trip to Johnson Central is a cake walk compared to the trip to Pineville. Log Mountain is about as backwoods as it gets, and is a totally different atmosphere than Paintsville. That isn't a negative comment either, just the way it is IMO.

 

That said, I think Central still comes ready to play. They have had their scare, and may hav been looking ahead to Bell last week and past Wayne a bit.

 

I think this one will go down to the wire and I wish I could be there to watch it. I can't pick against Central because they have dominated this class, but I will be pulling hard for Bell Co in this one. I'd like to see them advance as I have a ton of respect for their program and I think it would be good for the class to see a new champ.

You are right it was 2007. Still none of these players have ever been to the Mtns of Eastern Ky. It will be a culture shock for them.

Bell 35 Central 20. Central will score late to keep it that close. People have been overrating Central all year. The scores against Larue and Wayne prove it, then tack on a really long bus ride and it's game over for Central.

I think that you are right Bell County players have used last years game for motivation in the off season and are ready for the challenge.

I can say this with confidence....If Bell County cannot throw the ball consistantly on Central then they will lose. My prediction 14-6 Central.

I predict a lot of bruises and ice paks needed for both teams following this one.

 

I really like Bell's chances right now, but for those predicting a fairly high scoring game, I think you are a bit off.

 

Central has only allowed 4 TD's twice all season. Once was to St. X, the other was to a solid Evansville Reitz team in a game Central won going away back in August. There is no denying Central appears vulnerable following the scares against Larue and Wayne, but that Yellowjacket defense is still one of the best units in the state and in my opinion Bell will have to show some form of balance offensively to score enough to win. I find it hard to fathom Bell will have more success offensively then PRP, St. X, or Reitz

 

I still have this gut feeling that everything is lining up for Bell. Homefield advantage at the HS level by and large is a bit overrated at this level of the playoffs, but Log Mountain is a different place and magic seems to happen there (as well as the occasional wet field or questionable penalty).

 

I like Bell in this one 15-14 in an absolute battle.

You watch the game? Wayne gave the game away before it even started. Wayne had more yards, more trips to the redzone and played with their qb at about 60%. Who else had held Bell under 150 yards total offense for the game?

Who won the game? You still don't understand about sports do you. Bell County had as many yards as Central last year and didn't score any points. If you take away Wales lont td in the 4th would have. Or if you give Bell the lond td that was called back because of the penalty would have had more. I guess that Bell was the better team then.:confused:
