Interesting CCH throwing TD passes up 52-3. Wow.

I understand your point.

But, this is the playoffs. The KHSAA has deemed my opponent worthy of making the playoffs, thus I cannot take them lightly. I have to do everything I can to secure the win today, and prepare my team for the next rounds. If that means throwing the ball in cold, rainy conditions as we will see more of in coming weeks, then so be it. I couldn't simulate these weather conditions earlier in the season, and I'm not going to let this opportunity pass (so to speak) now that I have them.

In short, if coaches have to prep for a total blowout in week 1 of the playoffs, we have too many teams playing in week one. CovCath's coaches should have and likely were focused on beating JC, Highlands, and whoever else may come before them in the playoffs. If it happened at Rowan's expense, well at least you experienced another football game. That seems to be a big deal for some people.

No. Any given year a 4 seed can "make some noise". 09 -#4 SK made finals against Trinity.

Back in the 70's only DIST. Champ made playoffs. Sometimes the better team does not win District.

You ain't "making noise" down 52 to 3 in the third quarter. Give me a break.

Trinity obliterated SK in the state finals too.

I could be wrong...wasn't there. Just heard from people. They definitely needed the reps.

Guess Rowan was viewed as the first round guinea pig. I am sure they loved being in that position.

To this, I'd say take off your skirt and get better. You want the teams to experience the playoffs, right?

I don't have an issue with it personally.

So I have to assume you support throwing the football up 49 with 5 min to play in the 3rd? Wow. Different strokes for different folks. Guess they haven't gotten enough reps thru 10 games. Wonder what your view would be if HHS is up by 49 on you in a couple weeks and McCoy is putting it up. Hmmmm...........then their response is, they needed the reps.

So answer this then! What is the difference in CovCath throwing a TD and in some other team, running in for a TD?

Again only 5:22 seconds of offense and 27 plays in the entire 1st half for CovCath and only 3 plays of offense in the entire 3rd quarter. That's a whopping 30 total plays in the entire game for the 1st team! Give me a break!

Cov Cath's JV and a smattering of Freshmen were in more than mid way from the 3rd quarter thru the rest of the game. It was a running clock the whole 2nd half. What the hell do people want- to take a knee? Give me a break all you pious football fans- not sure what teams you root for, but nothing happened Saturday that any other team would'nt have done.

Not CCH's fault- or any teams fault- that the region they play in is poor, or top heavy. It is what it is. So get over yourselves and move on- jeez.

By different strokes I am assuming you mean it is OK for HHS to do this year after year, but if another team happens to do it (with mostly backups) it is not OK?

So what do you say about the Holy Cross game, when Conner threw a TD in the third quarter while beating up on Holy Cross?

Conner Cougars 3 9:18 Barker 49 yd pass to Fogle (Dunaway kick) 43 14

Calling the kettle black aren't you.........

Need to work on your anger management issues Old Guy. Wow. Keep justifying what was IMO a terrible display of sportsmanship.

Apple and Pineapples my friend. Conner was up 22 not 49. Big time reach to justify terrible sportsmanship. Conner starters pulled early in third as well. Again, Rowan is a very bad team. HC is the defending state champion.

It's okay RE. It's all over now. Just keep your seat and concentrate on your breathing.

This thread shows how bad of a game this was.

Thank you. The brown paper sack was not working.
