October 30, 201213 yr What?? How does Titanic not make the list?? Who knew that boat was gonna sink?!? They really stumped me on that one.
October 30, 201213 yr The last 3 on the list. Usual Suspects is one of my favorites, and I was completely fooled by Sixth Sense, which scared the daylights out of me. "I see dead people." :scared:
October 30, 201213 yr The Others...without a doubt should be on the list! That was freaky. Nicole Kidman was great in that, IMO.
October 30, 201213 yr The Sixth Sense was a stunning ending. And since it is almost Halloween....The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. I remember "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" scaring the crap out of me when I was a youngster...:scared:
October 30, 201213 yr I'm sorry, but Sixth Sense was atrocious. You could see it coming from a mile away.
October 30, 201213 yr I rented this one several years back without knowing anything about it, except that I'm somewhat of a John Cusack fan. As I was watching, I kept thinking, "this seems familiar to me". Then I realized about 2/3 of the way through it was very similar to Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Great book. Came to find out later that the screenplay for Identity was pretty directly inspired from the book. That's correct. Identity is a very underrated film IMO.
October 30, 201213 yr I'm sorry, but Sixth Sense was atrocious. Agreed. And I'm a fan of a lot of M. Night Shyamalan's work.
October 30, 201213 yr Two of my favorites that haven't been listed is Inside Man and Crash. Love them both. Crash is a great movie. I can't believe the number of people I know that haven't seen it.
October 30, 201213 yr Total Films Rates these as the 10 best movie twists. 10. Citizen Cane (1941) 9. Planet of the Apes (1968) 8. Soylent Green (1973) 7. Fight Club (1999) 6. Saw (2004) 5. Empire Strikes Back (1980) 4. Psyco (1960) 3. Se7en (1995) 2. The 6th Sense 1. The Usual Suspects IMO Soylent Green is a horrible movie, but all of the rest are great movies. Maybe it's just me, but I don't remember walking away shocked at the end of Empire Strikes Back. A couple of movies that I liked that had a twist ending were Presumed Inocent, Primal Fear, and Secret Window. Any others out there?? Nice list. Numbers one, two and three in particular are movies a can watch over and over, if for no other reason than the twists at the end. Seven really blew my mind at the end.
October 31, 201213 yr Agreed. And I'm a fan of a lot of M. Night Shyamalan's work. Speaking of...I'd add "The Village."
October 31, 201213 yr Two of my favorites that haven't been listed is Inside Man and Crash. Love them both. I liked Crash and I agree it's a great movie but I'm not so sure about the twist, am I forgetting something?
October 31, 201213 yr Secret Window Excellent choice! :thumb: Speaking of...I'd add "The Village." A lot of people hate that movie, but I loved it! :thumb:
