Both teams have played same opponent's and not much difference in the final score's. This will be another dog fight and both team's are playing for pride. I look for both no matter the outcome to go far into the playoff's. Good Luck to both and may it go injury free this year. JD

Yeah it does sound stupid because if you played competitive sports and been on teams that have an oppurtunity to do something in the post season you know that momentum is big part of sports. That's why a game like this one in week 10 is so beneficial for both teams. The winner gets the momentum and confidence and both teams gets to play a highly competitive game before they both beat the snot out of the next opponent.

Secondly, as has been mentioned a number of times, the times NCC won state titles they LOST to Beechwood, so that shoots the hell out of your momentum theory. My point was it is a good game for both teams because it usually is the first competitive game either team has played in a month. The most crucial thing is not to get anyone hurt. I added, if you noticed, that I'm sure the kids think it is important, but the coaches are looking for a competitive game with no injuries.

This is going to be a great game between 2 outstanding programs. Too close for me to call. Good luck to both.

I'm going to go ahead and play the percentages with this one and say you haven't played more competitive sports than me and those who know who I am will tell you the percentages are pretty low. Enough about that, this thread isn't what YOU think of yourself as a sports legend. I'm not sure what your hostility is about but I stated in my previous post their are advantages for both. Playing in big games are very important for preparing for playoffs and I know the coaches want it just as bad the kids but also want to stay injury free.

Is this game on Friday? I was assuming it was a Saturday night game because it was at Newport. But I just looked at the schedule and it says Friday.

As for the game, having seen both teams I think It's too close to call. I'll say the winner cones out on top by no more than a TD. I like Newcath's D but think Beechwood offense is a little better and more explosive with Nussbaum.

This is Beechwood's last chance to prepare for the tough opponents at the end of the playoffs. They can rest anyone they want the next two weeks and get big wins. This is not a week to rest. This is a week to get pushed to the limit, find your weaknesses and get them fixed before a game where a loss ends your season. The same is true for NCC.

Not true .... (but it definitely was not intentional).

In 2003 ... Beechwood sat 13 players (9 starters) during the regular season game (the reason is not important at this point).

Beechwood lost in the regular season ... won in the playoffs.
