Geek61
Goodness! My son is a sophomore and hasn't turned 16 yet LOL. I wonder how many other players they had that were that old.:sssh: It's one year older than the norm. If you get held back when you are younger, are you supposed to not play sports? emperorhasnoclothes
There shouldn't be a 16 year old on a middle school football team! I bet it was a joke.

Proudjacket
Let me help you with some common sense. It was the end of the season so he was 15 when it started. I know Raceland fans are rather, for the lack of a better word, simple. I was also at the game. And yes success always come from the bottom up. I realize that Raceland has a very good school and football program but lets not sling mud. Oh I also laughed, really hard at the final score. HT721
I'm sorry, are you comparing Junior High School success with Varsity Success? Not a good idea, I know of schools that have had great Junior High success and have gone winless in Varsity with the same players. Junior High School does not accurately depict what will happen in Varsity. But, since you brought it up, Raceland was in the "Championship" for a reason. Yes, they lost, but they were there, so they must have been pretty good. I was at that game and what made me laugh (out loud) was when the PA announcer wished one of the opposing players a "Happy 16th Birthday". 16? Really? Normally I would agree with you not to compare, but I did make it to a Williamsburg game this year, and they have developed well from middle school on I would imagine. I didn't see them play as a middle school team but to be a team with lots of underclassmen they are very impressive.

Sorry that is crazy. My son will turn 16 near the end of his sophomore school year If the young man turned 16 and he is in middle school, he will not be eligible to play his senior year. What is the rule? Can't turn 19 before Aug 1st?

I am not sure the exact cut off date, but he will be 19 at the end of his junior season so it isn't a factor. He may not be able to play a spring sport his junior year. Proudjacket
I am trying to remember the player that was announced, but with age comes some memory loss. LOL and for the record my son will be 14 and is a freshman at Williamsburg so I am also concerned about older boys playing against him. He is not a small boy but as a father, I try to protect him as much as I can. I do not know the rule on age in Kentucky, as I am from Tennessee, but I totally agree with not being eligible at 19. Hyprocritical to make those statements and then say don't sling mud. The game(s) will be settled on the field, and if both teams are fortunate enough to make it out of their respective regions to play then we'll see who has the last laugh. Funny you should just comment on my post. I was not the one that pointed at players. True, it is settled on the field and I think it is ones duty to support you team. In that sense, we should not insult others, unless of course they need a dose of reality. As for you comment, the first three letters of second work is appropriate for you. Course, just my opinion of reality.

If you're going to insult someone, at least be able to use spell check and spell correctly, and use correct grammar. Obviously by your remarks your maturity level is severely lacking, along with your opinion. Takes a big man to hurl insults behind a keyboard. Toothpick
I have no idea. I know Mayfield had been reporting stats because I saw where Brown was one of the top receivers and Guhy was one of the top passers, but, that was 4-5 weeks ago.. Maybe, they just report stats every 2-3 weeks or something, not really sure.. No idea but Guhy's numbers are 112 of 172 (65%) for 1,885 yards with 22 TD's and 1 int. Proudjacket
And you are? Please, enlighten me oh wise one. lol... If I get my point across, what does it matter? I am not a big man, but (in my opinion) better than most. I am sure you understood my insult and as for maturity....well your post was very mature. I will repeat my point it in layman terms for you. Why refer to a single player's age when it was a team that won? Reason? I will give you a couple of days for your reply. Thanks for the spell check tip.
