October 19, 201213 yr I watched both Romney and Obama do their thing live. Both were funny but whoever wrote Romney's jokes deserves a bonus. My favorite was, not an exact quote, "Seasame St. wanted me to mention that tonight's banquet is being brought to you by the letter O and the number 16 trillion" or something like that.

October 19, 201213 yr 67th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner | C-SPAN Entire evening. Go to the 20 minute mark to hear the President. You also see some other lines that Gov Romney had. He talked about how a day on the trail includes many wardrobe changes. He said he was glad he could be at this speech so he and his wife could dress like they do around the house.

He looks really familiar but I can't put a name with the face. Also, this is different from the Correspondent's thing, right? I don't remember which one it was, but when Obama & McCain did this in 2008, both of them were very funny. I thought in this one, Obama laughed because he kind of had to. During McCain's remarks a few years ago, it seemed like he was genuinely tickled. McCain had made a reference or two about the Messiah. I'll try to find it.

October 19, 201213 yr Here's part of what I was talking about, and it was the Alfred E. Smith thing. This one is pretty hilarious to me, for a few reasons: 1) Obama seems genuinely humored by some of McCain's remarks. 2) Hilary's fake laugh(s). 3) The old guy above McCain's head, because he doesn't quit eating and repeatedly licks his fingers. Seems like he has to chew 750 times before he can take his next bite. 4) The Chris Matthews/MSNBC lines.
