October 19, 201213 yr Author The President's remarks are brought to you by the letter O & the number 16 trillion. I always enjoy this event. Do you have Obama's remarks? Naw. The guy I got it from hates Obama so he only posted Romney's part. Clizzy took care of us though.
October 19, 201213 yr "Obama embraced by Catholics...Romney dines with rich people". This is good stuff lol.
October 19, 201213 yr "I want to raise my glass to Mayor Bloomberg." "Every year Governor Romney gives 10% to charity...the charity is the federal government.":lol::lol:
October 19, 201213 yr "Jesus taught us that it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Say what you will about the economy...Mr. President, it's going to be a lot easier for a lot more people to get into heaven."
October 19, 201213 yr Here's part of what I was talking about, and it was the Alfred E. Smith thing. This one is pretty hilarious to me, for a few reasons: 1) Obama seems genuinely humored by some of McCain's remarks. 2) Hilary's fake laugh(s). 3) The old guy above McCain's head, because he doesn't quit eating and repeatedly licks his fingers. Seems like he has to chew 750 times before he can take his next bite. 4) The Chris Matthews/MSNBC lines. Good stuff. "He even has a pet name for me. George Bush." Wow. Hillary has aged.
October 19, 201213 yr Win or lose, this is my last political campaign, so I'm trying to drink it all in. Unfortunately, Mayor Bloomberg will only let me have sixteen ounces of it."
October 19, 201213 yr "Earlier today I went shopping at some stores in mid town. I understand Governor Romney went shopping for some stores in mid town."
October 19, 201213 yr "Governor Romney, thank you for being up here sitting next to me, although I must confess I was secretly hoping the Republican candidate might be Governor Christie, because I sure would look a lot better sitting next to him than you."
October 19, 201213 yr I watched both speeches last night. So much more entertaining than the debates; I enjoyed them both. Both got off some zingers. The President's jokes were on the whole much more self-deprecating than Mr. Romney's. It was obvious that the President was much more comfortable in this setting; but both had some great lines written for them.

October 19, 201213 yr That's one you have to keep up with the news to get. Funny. I liked how he looked over at the Mayor after the joke. Obama looked at the people with whom he was poking fun at more than the others did. I liked that.
October 19, 201213 yr Love it! What a great country when you can make fun of the President with him sitting 3 feet from you. "The letter O and the number 16 trillion." Very nice. No doubt, it's what makes America great. Think about it, we will fight like cats and dogs the entire campaign and when it's over we get up and go to work just like the day before. Look at what happens in other countries, it's pretty remarkable.
