Clyde Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Youth football coach suspended for having kids pee on t-shirt - FOX19.com-Cincinnati News, Weather & Sports
Watusi Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Stupid move by the coach, but the troubling thing to me was this Witnesses say the coach also offered $20 to his players if any of them would intentionally hurt one of the opponents. "He had offered kids a certain amount of money if three of the star players of their opponent was to be hauled off the field due to injury that he would pay the whole team $20 a piece," said Burkhart. On Sunday, a boy's nose was broken by the same team, according to the boy's father and Burkhart. If that part is true, that coach should never be allowed to coach youth football again.
Qryche11 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What a loser, that guy has no place in sports. We offer milkshakes to our players for making a big hit or stack of pancakes to our lineman for winning the battle at the line in convincing fashion but offering money to hurt another child is absolutely ridiculous and should be grounds for dismissal from the league.
sports fan Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 And if you win the battle of the line AND injure another player AND do a #2 in an opposing players helmet, then you get a BRAND NEW BICYCLE!
mexitucky Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What??? I always had the kids on our Green Team pee on a Blue Team jersey, even if we weren't playing them, and even if they were at school. Is this really that strange? In all seriousness, what a loser. Just another guy reliving his youth through young kids. Unfortunately, he physically injured a child. I hope that when that guy wakes up in the morning, he finds karma knocking on his trailer door.
ErnestTBass Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 A bothersome thing about this is that some of the parents were okay with what he did, and even supported him doing it!!! Wow Again!!
Watusi Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Again, peeing on the T Shirt is strange and not something you want adults encouraging. If I am in charge, I probably give the coach a warning about it but no suspension, IMO. The bounty on opposing players though is absolutely incomprehensible and grounds for permanent banishment.

I know this guy personally and he did not offer the kids money. He would offer them the same thing what you said.
Jim Schue Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Actually, with the tendencies rednecks have toward illegally appropriating Calvin for their "(pee) on Ford/Chevy/UK/UofL/insert NASCAR number here" decals on their trucks, it's kind of surprising this sort of motivation isn't used more often. Certainly easy to see why the other parents filed this incident under "no big deal."
ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Funny thing is, this dude is probably sitting at home thinking he did nothing wrong.
LRCW Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What is Sean Payton doing coaching youth football anyway?

I would never pee on a T shirt... now an X shirt is a totally different story.
