Cameron Fogle (Conner) Mr. Football Candidate

Featured Replies

Why doesnt he have an offer? Check his bio. He's not 'big'. Just a little guy. Size matters in FB and he's not Big Time Football Big.

He'll get offers, just not from the big boys.

I was just checking Alabama's official roster. Looks like they 14 wide receivers and 18 defensive backs. Average height 6'0" average weight 190lbs. I guess Alabama is not Big Time Football.

Exactly what I said earlier. His size is right in line with pretty much everyone at his positions at the D1 level. And the speed is there to go with it. There aren't many true 4.4 guys in NKY, or in KY for that matter. The difference between a 4.6 guy (which is fast by high school standards) and a 4.4 guy is big. Fogle has Saturday afternoon speed and ability. You can clearly see that in his highlights from the first half of this year.

JQ. End of story. Stop with the Mr. Football stuff for anyone other than JAMES QUICK.

James Quick may win it. That doesn't mean others don't deserve consideration or their own thread. This is kind of what we do and expect here at BGP. If you were unaware.

I don't see any way Quick does not win it. However, as others have stated, there are very talented players around the state that deserve to be considered and I certainly enjoy hearing about them. Particularly those from other areas of the state that I don't get to hear about or see video of very often.

Nothing personal against Cameron. Just don't think he has a chance to be Mr. Football. List him as a 'candidate' if you want. No chance he wins.

Hey 22-Not sure about the Mr. Football discussion but the reason he isn't getting looks in my opinion is the simple fact that he is from Kentucky. Kids from Kentucky obviously aren't as athletic as kids from Florida/Texas. I say that wiht sarcasm but in Kentucky last year, there was 1 D-1 signee for every 769 kids playing high school football, in Florida that ratio was an astonishing 1 for every 119 kids playing football. Less than 20 kids in KY signed D-1 scholarships last year while in Texas that was nearly 400. Big differences in population but come on. Maybe Joker needs to quit looking at what the scouting services say by trying to get kids from FL and GA and look inward at kids like Cameron.

I thought the bold was a good point. Then I looked at UK's roster. How many Kentucky kids do you think UK has on their roster?

Answer (highlight): 39

I don't see anyone saying he should win or that he has a chance to win. I only see people saying he should be a candidate and his resume.

Yes, that is the answer in my post if you highlight it. I was surprised to see that many KY kids. Since there are 99 on the roster I pulled that number from, I wonder how many of those are scholarship players. Bottom line, it looks like UK is pulling in a lot of KY kids. I am sure if Cameron wants to play football at UK, he can. He just may have to pay for it himself.

I hope he gets a receipt.

Really enjoyed watchng that video. He's impressive. Also saw some really nice downfield blocking by his teamates which is always good to see.

There is no reason Fogle couldn't go the same route Travis Elliot did. Fogle reminds me the most of Travis Elliot. Both play the same style of ball and if Travis can get a scholarship to WKU then there is no reason Cameron couldn't get a similar offer.

The real question is ,What does Fogle want to do at the next level? Football or Baseball because he is just as incredible of a player at baseball as he is football.

I like what is in the video.

And the overall team stats show he is the engine for Conner.

Certainly worthy of being 'in the mix' for Mr. Football.

As for D1. Did he go to any 1-day camps this summer? D1's do not recruit off videos or combines alone. It most cases and especially for players not at the top of scout.com,etc. they really HAVE to go to the one day camps in between their junior and senior year.

Certainly a lot of talent there and size seems a reasonable for a chance at D1 if that is the goal. But if he did not make the rounds this past summer it will be a challenge at the highest level. Good luck whatever path he goes.

Fogle does not compare to Elliot. Elliot was a beast.
