Somerset had just about everyone practicing today so they may be pretty healthy for Friday Night. Sure did look good to see all those players back on the field. I feel better about this game as time goes by.

Sure do have some quick healers. I seem to recall the Jumpers had some hurt players last season before one of our games but they miraculously healed just in time, lol!

Seriously that is good news. The kids deserve to play in games like these.

Sure wish JK could suit up for the Ads.

Don't know about Quick healers. all I know Friday Night we had 2nd half we had 5 out, nine positions. On one scoring drive by Whitley we had 4 lb.s out and a DB and Safety. Maybe Somerset is just Soft!! We will see Friday. I agree all should be able to play hate to see a High School Kid have to miss for injury. Good Luck to JK!!!

I can think of a few words that describe recent Somerset teams, soft isn't one of them.

Hatz, I can't really speak for BlueXpress, but maybe he was thinking like Somerset that has held Danville from winning the district and advancing in the playoffs. I know when I played, Woodford County would knock us out of the playoffs, it just seemed we couldn't jump that hurdle.

I still believe the '80 Danville team would have challenged for the AAA title that year if they could have gained one more foot in that Overtime vs. Woodford. You guys peaked and were playing your best ball at the end of the year. I think you were a better team than the Yellow Jackets that season.

As to BlueXpress, I get it. But I would think it's a good start for you to snap the Boyle streak and get the mindset right for snapping the Somerset streak as well.

I remember that night well, and back then only the winner of the district got to advance in the playoffs. I don't know how far we would have gone, but we were firing on all cylinders at the end of that season. I think Danville has a good chance Friday if they don't turn the ball over a lot and give Somerset short fields to score. I also like the fact that when Danville kicks off, the ball is going in the end zone, and 80 yards is a long drive if your Offense is not dominate.:walk:

I don't know if a kicker has ever been a team's MVP or not, but you sure could make that argument this season. I may be wrong, but I can only recall one kick being returned all season and that was after an off-sides penalty on the Ads.

In light of today's horrific accident I'm not sure that this game will or should be played. That of course is up to the players and coaches and I will Support either decision.

Prayers for Wil and Jacobi tonight.

Puts football into the right perspective when something like this happens.

Keep us updated if the game will be played. I assume it will.
