Dunlap and Johnson played awesome!

The refs got the no run off call right at the end. Clock was stopped, so they don't penalize :10. Not sure on the injury with no TOs left...

I agree with that call. The one I'm confused about was the one with 1:07 left. Redskin goes down with an injury?

Agreed. Injury under 2 minutes costs a time out and if there isn't one it is a :10 run off by my understanding...

And the official even called for a run off, but they never did it.

Home cookin' by the scoreboard operator. :irked:

Just a quick note for Bengal fans minus futurecoach, Carson Palmer has thrown 1 pass that was intercepted and the Raiders are now down 7-0.

I have already admitted I was wrong on him, so no argument here about him. :D

Defense is a serious issue. Offense is fun to watch though.

NFL needs to get the real refs back before these guys end up costing someone the game.

If the Bengals had a defense, and a head coach that didn't make stupid decisions, they could be a very good football team.

The Bengals no doubt have to keep getting better on defense. However they were 10 times better today than they were the first two weeks. I will take only giving up 24 points to the Redskins who are going to be an offense who scores all year with what they do. Run defense struggled with that triple option in the third quarter, however the pass defense was much better because of the pass rush. Until the Bengals went to that stupid prevent defense that just let the Redskins catch passes and get ten yards at a time the last two drives, the coverage was much better most of the day.

Dunlap is not 100% and we seen how big of a difference he makes. I think we will see Moch make a big difference to when he comes back from suspension. So yes still not good on defense, but was much better today which was a good sign. They do need a new MLB though I never seen a MLB always getting blocked like him.

By the way Terrance Newman did pretty good in coverage today, however he not only had one very stupid decision but two and the 2nd one almost could have cost them the win! DUMB!!

Dalton and his receivers with another good game! Gresham still needs to be more consistent though for them to get even better. However as I tried to tell SSC while they didn't play top QB's last year they did play mostly top defenses. So the defense will give up more this year, but the offense with Dalton would also be much better and score more. They will need to keep it up though because the defense will give up at least 20 something points a week.

Any win on the road in the NFL is a good win.

Very true! The next 3 games are also very winnable with playing @Jacksonville, Home against Miami, and then @Cleveland before the Sunday Night game against the Steelers. I think they have a great chance to be 5 and 1 going into that game which would be huge with how tough the schedule gets after that.

Agreed, defense is really poor right now. Giving up way too many big plays. I feel like the defesne is pretty solid 2/3 of the time and that's just not going to get it done in the NFL.

Offense is fun, gotta love Gruden's playcalling and the different plays he's come up with.

Before I say this let me first say I agree that it was dumb to go for the fake field goal at that time.

My question is when you would you all view it as a good time to go for a fake field goal? The only time it is a good call basically is if it works, if it doesn't work then it is stupid because your taken away what could have been points. Thats why I think if it worked people would be saying different things, and like wow we never see the Bengals take chances like that. And honestly if you watch the play if Peko would have just blocked the guy in front of him then the holder walks into the end zone.

The pass defense was fine all game until the last two drives. Which is not a coincidence that the Bengals sat back in basically a prevent defense during those drives. They sat back and just let the Redskins catch those 10 yard passes. Zimmer should have just stayed with the same defense he had all game. RG3 was doing nothing that hurt them in the passing game really until then.

The Bengals suffer because of their ILB with the poofy hair.

I agree, he's just not good enough.
