Sounds like a great battle through 16 mins, then the better team took over.

Congratulations to the Tigers. I will not have a game report on this one so others will need to step forward with the details.

Campbell County put up some points on the Tigers. Beechwood freshmen are having a heck of a season.

How many different leagues are there? Can they play in the Championship together?

Beechwood is playing with the big schools this year. I believe they usually have a playoff and/or championship game so I assume Ryle and Beechwood could play each other if that is true.

This was a fun game to watch! I will say one thing these teams know how to hit!

CC is very good team, IMO the best team our Tigers have played to this point. That team is huge, and lead by a kid at QB that has to be 6'5. A big hit by Kyle Rowe on a punt return that caused a fumble seemed to once and for all turn the tide in the Beechies favor tonight, and ultimately they won the second half 28-6, but this game felt much closer than it was. Great job by both teams. This is the 4th year I have followed the Tigers frosh team, and this one is special and very fun to watch play. Skill players are off the charts. Slusher left game in 4th tonight, no clue why. Coach took his helmet from him, so I am certainly hoping he is fine. Great win Tigers, keep in rolling next week vs Dixie.

Wow, what a game, both teams represented themselves well, hard hits, enthusiasm, two heavyweights slugging it out. BW won tonight, but I can tell you that CC has a darn good freshmen team, IMO they are going to be a force in 6A for the next several years. I dont know the kids names, but #14 the QB was better than advertised...a legit 6'5" kid who has a cannon for an arm, and #44 the middle line backer was making plays all over the field. A number of other kids for CC played extremely well, those are just the two that stood out. Great game, both teams should be proud of their effort.

If anyone knows the records of the freshmen teams at this point, it would be good to see them and get a feel for where everyone is.

 

Beechwood is undefeated at 3-0 with wins over New Cath, Highlands and Campbell County.

This was definitely a great game. CC was leading at half 21-20. And beechwood just made plays in the 2nd half when they needed to. Both teams know how to run to the ball and when they get there you know you are going to get hit. Beechwoods running backs and QB were pretty darn good and so was CC. These are going to be 2 great teams over the next several years and I will be watching to see how they do. Good luck to both teams on the rest of the season.
