That's about how I thought it would go. Was 7 back in the lineup?

Any word on Kreeger? Details on the second half as I left right before halftime?

One of the players after the game said it was a likely broken collar bone. Kreeger is a gritty, hard nosed kid. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

No official word on Kreeger, though I did hear he could move all extremities and the issue may be his shoulder and/or collarbone. I would say the Birds pretty much controlled the second half.

Hate to see anybody hurt but I am glad to hear he could move extremities!!

Was he the youngman who was the backup QB for the Dixie game? He was a nice player, I hope he recovers quickly and fully.

Yes he was.

Nice Game from pretty much all aspects ... Barring one really nice run and TD from NC, the defense stepped it up this week. Offensive game plan seemed pretty balanced but could use some more work on the passing game. Maybe some shorter routes rather than looking for the home run ball... Hergott being out showed a little rust but it seemed everyone picked up their intensity overall. I know one of the TD drives from Highlands seemed like it was about 180 yards due to some sensless penalties. But overall the team played like a Highlands team is expected to play. Interesting... Not much helmet taking off on the sidelines and most seemed attentive... Hmmmm

Hopefully Kreeger is OK. Pretty scary 20 minutes on the ground with no movement.

I do have one question though... on the opponents 30 yard line... what is the benefit of punting through the end zone?... Why not take a shot at a pass into the endzone? Worst case scenario is an incomplete and you give up 10 yards... best case is a touchdown or an interception in the endzone for a touchback anyway.

This is much better than I thought it would be w/ Highlands coming off of such a big loss last week and getting a chance to play the Breds. Again, if NewCath can keep 18 of the 22 Freshman, that is a very big class. They have improved night and day so far this season. 20 pt losses are bad, but the players are headed in the right direction.

I believe the intent was to try and pin them down inside the 10 by kicking the ball high, but the punter got a little too much of the ball. I agree on the attempted pass or maybe even try a field goal in that spot.

Do they have am Freshman kicker that can kick a 47 yard field goal?

Actually they do... Their kicker has arguably the best frosh (and maybe JV) leg in Northern KY....

WOW! Nice comeback HHS Freddies! I saw about 1 1/2 quarters and the NCC freddies were taking it to the Baby Birds. The NCC TD was a real beauty. 80yd. (?) romp right up the gut that was VERY WELL BLOCKED! At that point NCC had the BBirds reeling. LOTS of mental mistakes/penalties that they will grow out of making. I will assume that the BBirds made some nice adjustments at half...good job coaches! I need an opinion from someone who stayed for the whole game: Did NCC wear out due to lower numbers? What was the scoring rundown? Who/how? Thanks!
