Lloyd's schedule isn't what Holy Cross has faced but I wouldn't say Lloyd has played nothing but bad teams. I think only one team they have played has a losing record.

This is one of the more interesting games of the week and a big one for the NKY 2A district. I know that Holy Cross has played the tougher schedule so far, but with how they have done overall on defense, I believe that Lloyd will be too much and is playing as a better team. I think the Juggs will win by at least a touchdown.

Poll added.

Holy Cross 28-14.

I have got to think the defensive coaches of HC will come up with something to shore up against the run. They did last year. I can understand a big run against them now and then by an athletic RB. I can understand a decent total amount of yardage by a team that likes to pound the ball. I can not understand so many runs for long yardage where the runner is untouched and finds space so quickly. I agree that this game is the pivotal point of the HC season to what happens the rest of the way (being a league game). The HC offense is good but not quite as explosive as last year. It is still trying to find its identity. At this point, it will not simply "outscore" opponents. Last year, the defense played well enough to give short fields to the offense. That has not happened this year. However, I remain optimistic for an Indians win.

Elite of 2A, are you on Fantasy Island??? A one hit wonder type of season does NOT constitute Holy Cross football as elite. I will give them thier props, they had one heck of a team last year, however that's it.

You know as well as I do if HC or NCC were in different areas they would always be in some championship type of game. NCC for the last few years was the only team that stopped us from going to state! It's been like that for the last few years who ever wins between us wins it all and you know that's the fact! That's what I ment bye the elite comment you have to agree to that unless you Just don't like HC ??

Should be a pretty good game but I am going with Holy Cross in this one by a couple TDs.

The Cross will be ready this weekend. They will win by 10.

I'm not looking at records.

Just hope HC thinks they are playing a cup cake this week, Lloyd has alot of talent on this team and to under estimate them would be crucial. Lloyd can run and throw and several on here have picked HC by 10 to 14 points. This Juggernaut Team is better than in past year's and are improving each week on their weaknesses. Go Jugg's make beleivers out of other NKY fans. I agree that HC will not be a push over and the Jugg's will have to play good football to win. JD

Last year was the ONLY year that this statement as any validity. And no, I don't have a dislike for Holy Cross, it's just that I bleed BLUE 'n GOLD. :ylsuper:

Records, plus opponent's opponent's records plus score is about all you can look at if you haven't seen the teams in person. Do you think Holy Cross could beat Owen County, Walton Verona and/or Garrard County?

Yes

And I think Conner puts up 70 on all of them.

To your list, I would add statistics (of course, since I live for them)! If one is willing to go that deep in their game analysis, they might be able to predict an outcome based on one team's tendancy against the opponent's strength or weakness. That's why a well balanced team in all aspects of the game has a better chance of making a winning run than one who is top heavy in a particular area or very weak in another. For example, if I have a high-flying passing team able to score 60 points a game through the air on Turf and I can't run the ball, what do I do if the field is sloppy mud? I almost always pick a well balanced, consistent, and steady team over a specialized team. I know stats don't tell the "whole story", but they are credible when one compares the stats of two teams together. Additional things to also consider - how does the team do at home vs away, series history (certain opponents create brain cramps for teams every time they play), and the number of seniors on the team (who is going to lead the team when there is adversity). Of course, none of this really matters or there would be no reason to play the games!

Well I can admire your love of your team but I can see you must only watch the blue and gold games and must not get out much. Good luck this weekend.
