Could be a good game. I still scratch my head over Ryle sticking with Davis at QB and secondly letting him play the position wearing gloves. Never made sense to me. A school that big and for some reason they bought into the idea that when Davis transfered to Ryle last year from Grant Co. that they actually thought he was the answer to their QB question.

 

I do know for a fact, even though Grant Co. has been down for a while, they were not upset to see him leave there.

 

I'm not a big fan of killing a kid on BGP. It's unbecoming. Debate his QB skills all day. Let's not make it a personal attack on the kid.

No need to bash Davis here. That's just wrong. Why the gloves? I'll guess, perhaps it has to do with his hand size and maybe the gloves allow him to get a better spin on the ball. I could be wrong, but doesn't really matter. Bottom line, every QB does what makes them feel comfortable. Let it be. Live and let live.

Davis shredded us last season so he has the utmost respect from me. I don't see either team running away from one another. If Ryle can mix in a pass here and there and control the clock they have a great chance at winning. SK's run defense is pretty stiff but I've seen Ryle succeed against their scheme with a few passes and good combination running game in the past. I'm not predicting any scores but if we can get the lead we will be in the drivers seat.

Don't blame Davis personally. The coaching staff at Ryle merits some accountability for his development as a QB.

I'm not saying he isn't a good player at all. I'm ssaying I believe he is in the wrong position. With his speed he would be an awesomme reciever. I'm just saying he is in the wrong position imo. It's not a knock on him at all, it's a knock on the coaching staff period.

 

I hear he is being looked at by some colleges, and it's not for QB, it's for WR. That iss where he should be playing right now or even tailback. The Ryle coaches are the one's i was knocking, letting your QB play with gloves on is silly to me. If he was in the mold of a Barker or Bir etc. they would throw the ball more but I think they knoww his limits and that is what I'm talking about. Nothing against Nathan at all, thhey just have him playing in the wrong position is what i've been saying.

It should be a very good game. The teams took VERY different approaches to get here. I am giving a slight edge to Ryle since they will be at home. Good Luck to both teams.

Now that is funny! Look for this to be a close game, final outcome to be determined by less than a TD. I give the edge to Ryle, the reason being is that they have faced a tougher schedule, thus making them better prepared. Good luck to both teams.

If they didn't open it up against Colerain when down by 3 scores I don't see him opening it up anytime soon especially in a game that should be a lot closer against SK. I think he may be afraid of turnovers if he opens it up and doesn't want to lose a game because of turnovers if he has a chacne of winning by grinding it out.
