I heard over the weekend that Pendleton plans to withdrawl from district play after this season. I heard their numbers are currently in the low 20's. This is good news for both Cov. Cath. and Highlands, as there is little to be gained from this game.

 

I have no idea if there are scenarios which could play out to make this happen, but wouldn't it be great if there was a NKY 5A district consisting of:

 

- Highlands

- Cov. Cath.

- Cooper

- Conner

- I suppose Holmes and/or Scott might be thrown in as well.

 

My guess is that this scenario excites Highlands and Cov. Cath more than the other named teams though.

That would be outstanding. Today's NKY 4A is pathetic. One game determines the season.

The new 5A sounds fun! Poor PC it is not right for either squad.

I said when this realignment came out that it would be the death of PC football, its looking like that is the case. At least PC is being realistic about it and trying to save their football for the school.

Considering who posted it that is old to them, ancient would be 1960's 3A list, lol............

Even with Pendleton County dropping, there would be 4 teams left in the current district. I don't think you would see any change in the district. It would just be another open date on the schedule for those other 4A teams to fill.

Agreed. 6 classes = ridiculous

 

The scenario with HHS, Conner, Cooper, CCH, & Holmes would be ideal IMO, but like VOR I don't see it soon...
