August 28, 201214 yr But good managers don't tinker? Good managers do what they have to until they get it right and they certainly don't go strictly by the numbers. As much as I disliked some things about Tony Larussa he could manage my team any day of the week.
August 28, 201214 yr I love watching Arroyo pitch. So much fun as he changes speed, arm angles, break on the ball. One of my favorite pitchers ever.

As much as I disliked some things about Tony Larussa he could manage my team any day of the week. So you don't have a problem with Tony LaRussa using 103 lineups but you have a problem with Dusty Baker using 106? Not surprised... When people ask me what really makes a good manager, I say two words: good players. . . . All that strategizing stuff is overrated. Games are won or lost by how well the players play, not how the manager manages. -Yogi Berra Edited August 28, 201214 yr by dmderringer10
