Nope, wasn't at the game, but it was webcasted. I watched it in the comfort of my own home. But, nonetheless, all this arguing will be validated for one of us in a few weeks. Who knows you may be right, Conner may beat Cooper.

Cameron ran 4.4 at three different colleges this summer by different coaching staffs. The other schools were very low 4.5. And he has been timed with hand and laser. In case you didn't know Fogle also plays baseball at a pretty high level. He's been playing varisty since freshman on some pretty good Conner teams. He has been contacted by some MLB clubs over the summer. They seem to noticed his 60 times during some showcase events. He only ran a 6.4 60 yd. Do your homework and decide for yourself if that's fast?

 

In the Beechwood game the defense even had the pursuit angle and the only thing they saw where the bottom of his shoes, chasing fumes.

Thanks for the feedback. I shouldn't have been so flip in my response. No doubt Fogle is fast as Nussbaum came up just short of catching him and Nussbaum is top 10 in the state in the 100. It is just that you hear these stories every year about a half dozen guys who are 4.3 and 4.4 fast. Then you watch the NFL combine and see how few people run a legitimate 4.4. It gets a little tiresome hearing stories about high school guys all over the place running that fast. Back to the thread.

I agree, the stories of 40 times are just ridiculous. I don't put any stock in them and I rarely quote 40 times, because I say I saw a fast player who runs 4.7, people will say he's slow. Most people don't understand how fast 4.7 is. I have had several college coaches tell me that if you run a 4.7, they will find a spot on the roster for you.

 

And the lineman 40 times are even more outrageous. They talk about this 6'5" 280 lb lineman who runs a 4.5. Bull crap, as you said, watch the NFL combines. You don't see it. The big linemen are running 5.2 - 5.6. Heck several years ago I say a first round linemen in the combine run a 6.2. But, on Sundays the talking heads talk about this linemen and that linemen run 4.5 40's at their size. It's crazy.

3. How much you talked the salesman down on the price of your car.

Would have never mentioned his time if it didn't happen. Why so many detractors? Credit should be given when credit is due. Back to the thread topic. After reading this thread, I have been convinced. Cooper is a great team.

Cooper is a very good team and will go deep in the playoffs. But until they produce championships they cannot be called that. Bright future for this program though

They have a District Championship in their fourth year, does that count or does it have to be a State title?

I have seen both Conner and Cooper play and they are both very good teams. There upcoming match up should be one of the best games in NKY this year. However, I do not believe either team is the best in NKY. At this point, I would have to go with Highlands as #1. Cov Cath, Cooper and Conner would be 2-4 at this point in the season and I am not sure I can accurately put them in order. I think there are good arguments for all 3 of those teams to be #2. The next several weeks may seperate them out a little bit.

Cooper's game versus Boone County tonight should help shed some light on things.
