I would venture to say you haven't seen either team play. True? And why is reality that Cooper should of been ahead of them the whole time? I guess that's based on the way teams finished last season, right? Really? Take a look at last season's rankings, they were way......off.

I'll chime into this discussion after I see Conner play on Friday night. I have a good picture in my memory of how Cooper attacked and defended Holy Cross last Friday. I'll be looking at how Conner handles its reads on both sides of the ball. I'm confident HC is making some adjustments, but that shouldn't matter for a team like Conner for purpose of comparison with Cooper. I doubt right now that I will be ranking Conner ahead of Cooper. At best, I could see them as equals for their future matchup. Comparison of score differential is not as important as the comparison of level of dominance when playing a common opponent. Cooper was darn near perfect in every aspect last Friday.

Yes, I am using that scrimmage. But it isn't a comparison of game results that leads me to my opinion. Obviously that would be silly. I know Barker didn't play. I know Fogle was the QB. I know players were rotated in and out. I know it was a scrimmage and played at a different level, different plays, etc. But I did see the starting line for Conner. I saw nearly all their players in some action. I can evaluate talent by watching what the players do in their time on the field. Based on what I have seen, Cooper looks to have more talent than Conner. They are one fast football team. We will have to see the continuing body of work by both, but at this point in the season Cooper is one of the more impressive teams I have seen in the past few years. Maybe it all clicked versus Holy Cross for them. But that is how I see it now ... based on talent and plays made on the field by individual players, not game results.

I truly hope you are not referring to the BW scrimmage and using that as your comparison. If so, boy have you made an egregious error.

It was under 400 actually, but they only surrendered 19 points. Isn't that what really matters? The scoreboard? Tell me who can run the ball better than Boone?

Fogle is not that fast. Beechwood had no problem catching him. Morgan flat out flies! I know on the one play I don't think anybody even could tag Morgan and Holy Cross has some fast kids.

Fogle might be fast on the clock but Morgan is football fast! Morgan has another gear. Conner will find out soon enough.
