August 3, 201214 yr I'm as sensitive to the race issue as any (probably more than most) but I just think it was a really bad coincidence. Unless you thought there was some sort of intent on behalf of someone at NBC then this is nothing.

And I would argue it you think it was "bad timing and accidental" you are acknowledging it was inappropriate. If we are that racially sensitive in this world, just never allow a commercial with a monkey in it period.

Can't really say that but I recognize that there are people who will see it that way. To be honest if I had seen it live it would have gone right over my head.
August 3, 201214 yr I can't see the video? What happened? After Gabby's performance NBC went to commercial break and the commercial shown was the NBC promo they have been running the past week with a monkey using the rings. It has been on multiple times.
