Kentucky Gives Drake Championship Ring

 Oh the horror! PP saw through Cal's charade! Kentucky is doomed!

Forgive me. I hate stuff that insults my intelligence. I expect better from Cal. I guess I'll lower my expectations. That's always an option. :D

He should have given one to Ashley Judd!

All I know is it generated a lot of headlines containing "Kentucky" and "championship" during a period that NOBODY is talking college basketball. Sounds like a win to me.

When I hear a recruit say "I chose UK because of Coach Cal, the chance to win championships, get to the next level, and oh yeah Drake" I'll agree.

Any kid with a chance to play for UK has heard "championship" and "Kentucky" 1,000 times a day in gyms across the country the entire month of July. With UK coaches in those gyms watching them play. If that isn't a win then Drake sure isn't.

And obviously hearing it and seeing it more is a bad thing...

You're more deserving of a ring than Drake in my eyes. And he has done what for UK? A couple of concerts? He wore a UK shirt in a video? Shoot, I eat Caliberry. Where's my ring?

Reminded a few big recruits of how "in" Kentucky is. Not a big deal, not going to influence someone to commit, but it gives Kentucky some street cred if you will. High school kids love Drake, Drake loves Kentucky. Kennedy Meeks in a recent interview was asked what is on his iPod before games. "Probably Drake," he said. I don't get how anyone thinks this was stupid.

You're totally missing the point. It's got nothing to do with Drake deserving anything. Just another way to keep Kentucky in front of recruits and on the top of their mind. Its not going to do anything by itself, but as part of the "all Kentucky all the time" agenda that Cal pushes, its perfect.

it's kind of playing out like politics for me. :D The more you cram UK down my throat, the further my projectile vomiting extends. :D

Simple. He did nothing to deserve it. Stupid.

His last newsworthy item was throwing a champagne bottle at Chris Brown and then hiding behind his bodyguard right after he threw it. Some street cred.

HOW IS DRAKE KENTUCKY ALL THE TIME?????? HE'S NOT EVEN FROM AMERICA!!!!!

Like I said, I guess I just need to lower my expectations of Cal's intelligence level. This is stupid to me. And always will be.
