April 29, 201412 yr It'll be wife and kids 20 and 11. Hundred or so a night.... Thinking of a Reds weekend maybe, isn't Friday fire works night? Top two teams in NL Reds and Pirates... OK, here is one I haven't done yet but more and more friends I know of have done this for a weekend. Great Wolf Lodge near Kings Island seems to be a big thing these days. Like I said, I never did it yet but several people I work with have done this and one has done it for the past 5 years and all I have heard is how much fun they've had. It's cheap and close and you can always hit Kings Island one of the days too.

April 29, 201412 yr Anyone going anywhere over Memorial Day weekend? We hadn't really been considering anything until my wife suggested it last night. Kind of mulling over the possibility any thinking over destination ideas.Florida (+ a few other states) has a ton of campgrounds on the beach. We are looking to go beach camping for a week later this summer.
April 29, 201412 yr Years ago we had a great long weekend vacation in Canaan Valley, WVa. Think Smokies terrain without all the mini golf and shopping malls.

(They're also completely booked for Memorial Day weekend.) I'm kinda looking a little more closely at Memphis at this point, but I'm still not sure what we're gonna do. We may just pack up the car, pick a direction, and drive.

Kind of mulling over the possibility any thinking over destination ideas. Any number of bed and breakfasts throughout OH, IN, and KY. Pick your preferred city, suburb, or rural setting and enjoy. A lot of great info online and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of room, food, and hospitality. Have met a lot of wonderful folks via B&**!

I took my family to Memphis for a quick weekend last fall. Not sure if you have kids or not but they have a very nice zoo. My kids love the love and we have been to many and the one in Memphis is one of the best we have visited. Also went down to Beale St. in the afternoon as I figured it would be tamer for my kids, pretty neat just to walk up and down, probably wouldn't want my kids there later on though. We also went over to Mud Island. They have a model of the Mississippi River. Kinda hard to explain but it is pretty neat. It is also very large. Never really seen anything else like it. Also we went out to this very large park, can't remember the name but they have a heard of buffalo on part of it. (As you can probably tell my kids love animals). Of course there is also plenty of BBQ to try, we went to City BBQ (?) They had two or three locations in town. It was really good.
