Lose-lose situation if you involve your girl. If you accept, you know she will see it and you are in the doghouse. Ask her and she will give you the go-ahead, and be ticked at you for the rest of your life.

I'm friends with my college sweetheart AND my high school sweetheart, both. And I just got engaged on Tuesday (to neither of the former). It's pretty harmless as far as I'm concerned.
