Nope, just common sense. Good schools give the student a better chance, and some schools are just vastly superior to others. I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable in any way, but that is the undeniable truth of the situation.

I suppose all the state regulated test scores are fluff as well? Or, do you have it in your mind that Highlands and Beechwood approve and validate the test scores for the rest of the state so they can add the "fluff".

Then it will be for a reason that is solid with the young person and his/her own family. That's all that should matter and I support that. If you read my earlier post, I was part of a HS team that lost a key transfer that went on to the NFL and we all supported his move and he has done pretty well for himself as a result of what he did. Good for him and anyone else that has an opportunity to make a change for self improvement.

Explain to me why this young man would change schools his senior year when he has started both ways for the last 2 seasons? He is leaving all of his friends he has been going to school with since his freshman year for a better education and more scholarship opportunities. You are only kidding yourself if you believe this.

 

Every school provides an excellent education. The parents and students get what they want from their child's education not matter what school he attends. That's a fact! !

 

Well, we (Toolman and I) will have to agree to disagree with you and the BW croud. Student motivation and parent involvement trump school environment every time.

I wonder if the Dixie AD will contest his eligability. If this kind of transfer is allowed to stand, then Dixie and SK will be reduced to being BW feeder programs!

I sure hope not. My daughter cheers for the Spartans and that means she would not have a team to cheer for anymore unless.....................I transfer her to Dixie or SK.

I don't think its a case of him leaving his friends. This kind of move evokes all kinds of relational damage. Spending three years in a program as a two way starter, then bailing your senior year?
