July 7, 201214 yr Pierre's offensive value is basically his batting average ... if he hits .310-.320, he has some OBP value. If he hits .280 or so, as he usually does, the OBP isn't very good. Throw in the average defense, no power and terrible arm, and he's not a very good player. His OBP is 100 higher thn what we have out of lead off and is cheap. I think it's a better option than calling up Hamlton. Any OBP over .300 at this point would be huge.
