July 17, 201214 yr Were the Lakers out after signing Jamison? Yeah I think that did them in with Hill. It was one or the other. I see it. Missed that one. Nice. I'll take it. Bench just got a lot better in LA. Better than anything they had off the bench last year easily.

July 17, 201214 yr No kidding. Hes a decent player but that's WAY to much. Yeah I figured 6-8 mil a year range, not 12! That's absurd, better hope the production is still there. Usually once a guy like that inks a big deal its all down hill from there. I had never realized even who Kris Humphries was or that he was even in the league until he started putting up decent numbers on a horrible team a couple seasons ago. That's a lot of pay just going by 2/8 seasons in the league. Oh well, it's their money. They now have a scoring center who doesn't really rebound, so if pulling boards is worth 12 mil a year then I guess do what you got to do. Funny how one talent or one skill in the NBA can make you millions.
July 18, 201214 yr Just to play devil's advocate a bit... I don't think the Kris Humphries contract is that bad when you consider that only 10 guys averaged a double double last year, and he was one of them. As it has been mentioned, he fills a key need for the Nets. Plus, they only inked him for two years; if he does not work out, he will be a trade asset in the final year of that contract for teams looking for salary cap relief. If he does have another season like last year, he gives the Nets a 13 and 11 guy on the interior to team with Williams, Joe Johnson Gerald Wallace and Brook Lopez. Plus, the Nets had the cap room and they were not going to find a better option for their team via the FA market. Plus he falls under the revised Larry Bird rights so he doesn't even impact their cap as much as that salary would indicate. This seems very low risk to me from the Nets perspective.
