July 2, 201214 yr I can't be convinced that Johnny Miyagi Cueto wasn't left off for his Kung Fu kick. And his comments do nothing but make PTL chuckle in gleeful victory in knowing he has the upper hand. I have to say that it would have been more appropriately handled by all the talking heads rather than JC chirping about it.

July 2, 201214 yr Why in the world is Chipper on the ballot for the final vote? It's stupid enough that the AS decides home field advantage but then they allow the fans to vote these players in for a game that actually counts for something. It's still the best AS game of all the major sports but if you are going to make it count ditch the rule that every team gets a player on the roster, that's just plain wrong.

The bigger point , as I've told you numerous times now, is that we should be criticizing both for their pettiness - not just TLR.

I honestly didn't think Bruce would make it. Phillips and Cueto were more deserving IMO. Nobody will ever convince the fight didn't keep those 2 off the team. I understand completely there are snubs every year, and people complain. That's what fans do.

The 3rd place Cardinals already have 4 All Stars compared to 3 for the 1st place Reds. A 5/2 number may have been a number MLB wouldn't have allowed.
