Who was it that didn't like Dunn? Malachi or dderringer?

That trade has absolutely destroyed the Rangers locker room. Look at how bad their chemistry has been since Hamilton arrived.

It's obviously worked out very well for them. Not denying that just stating the truth. Every situation is different and for whatever reason a few guys weren't very happy with Hamilton.

Edit... Just saw DMDs post.

And the truth is the Reds with Hamilton would be a better team if they had ditched all of the players that had a problem with him instead--BP included.

Mal hated Donkey Dunn

I wish he could pitch.

He'd still be a Red if he wasn't traded away. He's not FA eligible yet...

No I meant now since he will be a free agent.

So you let him walk after this year. The lineup would be scary good with him.

Or better yet, put the money you spent on BP towards him. It'll be interesting to see what kind of money he gets in free agency.

I know we always find something to pick about, but I really like this team. Love Cozart. Love our catchers. Love Missile. Like our starters. Love Vottomatic. Like the 2ndbasedog. Like Frazier. And the rest are very adequate. I don't dislike or feel that the REds have a glaring weakness anywhere. Not an offensive juggernaut, but solid. Play solid D night in and night out. Loads of quality starts and bully that is dynamite. Even Dumsty is adequate.

And your point is? They'd have had him for the past 5 seasons. Should they trade any young player that produces early because he'll leave as a free agent?

If he was still here they probably would not have given BP what they did, probably couldn't afford it. Hamilton will get probably as much as Votto but for a lot less years.

They are having a great year. I don't think that their best 3 starters and offense will match up well with an elite team in the playoffs.
