June 2, 201214 yr Thievin' strippers, tricked out speedin' benzos, no problem for the missile. You forgot the $18M lawsuit. He was dominant last night. Like always.
June 2, 201214 yr Reds win regardless of Costanzo once again...I dont think the Reds are too worried about his role right now, he is a great clubhouse guy  Like Corky, could be a coach in training.
June 2, 201214 yr Like Corky, could be a coach in training. Maybe he is a coach in disguise, he has spent a lot of time on the bench and the Reds have spent a lot of time winning since he has been there...He is a career minors player with pretty decent numbers down there and a former high draft pick...I honestly believe the guy can hit but is trying to do to much after getting his shot after like 8 years in the farm...With that being said he isn't helping teach hitting, however I believe he has secretly taken on role of clubhouse/dugout motivator... With all his experience in the Farm he is able to share his struggles and experiences with the rest of the team and help keep them motivated, nobody wants to get sent down...Other players see how happy he is just too get a cup of coffee in the show and it makes them realize how lucky they are and they begin to focus more and work harder to stay...I've seen Stanzy in the Dugout on TV guys seem to cling to him  Or it could be as simple as do exactly the opposite what I do in the batters box and you will be successful All kidding aside I don't mind him at all, I would rather have him and his hunger to stay and work hard than Harris...I will admit that being the only Left Hander on the bench is important and not producing could cost a couple games but nobody else is any better...If Gathright continues to produce in AAA for another couple weeks or Dorn breaks out of his year long slump then the Reds can make a change...

June 2, 201214 yr Before anyone complains... Jay Bruce is 2-for-29 (.069) in his career against Wandy Rodriguez, with 15 strikeouts.
June 2, 201214 yr Before anyone complains... Jay Bruce is 2-for-29 (.069) in his career against Wandy Rodriguez, with 15 strikeouts. Bruce is their 2nd best player. You don't sit your best players because of past struggles against a pitcher, especially when they're swinging a hot bat. Dusty is a moron.

June 2, 201214 yr Author Before anyone complains... Jay Bruce is 2-for-29 (.069) in his career against Wandy Rodriguez, with 15 strikeouts. And I believe struck out 3 times against him in a meeting earlier this year. I have no problem with Bruce sitting tonight.
June 2, 201214 yr Why is Dunsty playing Cairo instead of Stubbs? I agree with sitting Bruce. Drinking a little early?
