May 22, 201214 yr Sure you are. All races for judge are non-partisan and they have ballots just for you disenfranchised voters. Truthfully, I didn't realize the non-partisan races were on the primary ballots.
May 22, 201214 yr Sure you are. All races for judge are non-partisan and they have ballots just for you disenfranchised voters. The last time I tried to vote in a primary, I was told I couldn't because there were no Independent candidates on the ballot. Now, that's been YEARS ago....but no one's informed me otherwise and I've gotten no mail, robocalls or emails from any candidate on the ticket. I'm gonna be TICKED if I haven't voted in the primaries all these years and I could have.
May 22, 201214 yr I think voting should be a prerequisite to post in this forum. And yes, I voted...for Alecia Webb-Edgington. :thumb: Any word yet on the percentages for each candidate?

It would be different if these Texas imposters (who set up their office in a Bellevue storefront) had the interests of NKY in mind. All they want is another congressional feather to put in their cap. :irked:

This year in Jefferson County there was only one non-partisan race: Kentucky Court of Appeals. Even if you're registered as an independent, as long as you're registered, you're supposed to be able to vote for those.
May 23, 201214 yr I worked the polls and voted and 12 hours is long enough to have the polls open !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 23, 201214 yr Not for those who have a full-time job and work from 8am-6pm most nights. Agreed MJ, I can never make it to the polls to vote before they closed and leave for work at 530am or earlier. They need to open earlier for me, but that will never happen.

I was actually always told that you couldn't vote in any primary if registered independent.

May 23, 201214 yr If you ask I'm almost certain your boss has to allow you time to vote... Really? Wish I would have known that.
May 23, 201214 yr Get over it you have no excuse for not voting .You can either vote Absentee or at lunch Time also read the section concerning Kentucky Election Alert: Laws Requiring Employee Time Off to Vote
May 23, 201214 yr I worked the polls and voted and 12 hours is long enough to have the polls open !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In 2000 I remember waiting in line over 2 hours to pull the lever. 12 hours was not enough that day for many people. When you think about it, casting your Presidential vote is one of the biggest days in the country, and we get half a day to make arrangements to be there. I am fine with that, I just think it should be on a Saturday or Sunday.
May 23, 201214 yr Get over it you have no excuse for not voting .You can either vote Absentee or at lunch Time also read the section concerning Kentucky Election Alert: Laws Requiring Employee Time Off to Vote I apologize for having a full-time position that is a 40 minute commute, one-way, from my polling location. Good for you for having the full day off to volunteer at the polls. Unfortunately, not all of us have that luxury. And even if I knew that I could leave work for 90 minutes (or longer depending on the line) to vote, I wasn't barking up that tree when no one else at my organization seemed to care.
