May 22, 201214 yr Bynum's post-game comments were priceless. Typical Bynum. I guess he was right in that close-out games are easy.
May 22, 201214 yr Raymond Felton is an unrestricted free agent. Wouldn't mind him at PG. Jameer Nelson may be a FA, George Hill a restricted FA. If they want to get even older there's Kidd and Nash.
May 22, 201214 yr Don't remember who it was, but Cowherd had someone on who said he'd be very surprised if Mike Brown is fired.
May 22, 201214 yr Author Trade Gasol for Lowry and Scola. Trade Bynum for Howard. I more than like that, I LOVE that.
May 22, 201214 yr ^They'd probably be the best team in the West next season if they could make it happen.
May 22, 201214 yr I'd be surprised if Brown was fired also. Why fire him? The Lakers were 1 game better in the playoffs this year than last year. It was also a lockout shortened year as well. All the teams left are teams that were built last year. The Lakers started brand new after the lockout. I'm no Mike Brown fan but looking at the situation what grounds is there to fire him? I'd take SVG or Mikey D in a heartbeat. I just don't see it happening. Keep Metta. Keep Ebanks. Keep Sessions as a backup only. Move everybody else.
May 22, 201214 yr Author ^They'd probably be the best team in the West next season if they could make it happen. If Lowry wouldn't have gotten hurt last year I think it might have happened. Maybe not the Howard part but the trade with Houston.
May 22, 201214 yr You are probably right but I just don't like him very much and think Van Gundy is a better coach. So you want the Lakers to acquire Stan Van Gundy AND Dwight Howard? Wasn't that part of the problem in Orlando?
May 22, 201214 yr Author So you want the Lakers to acquire Stan Van Gundy AND Dwight Howard? Wasn't that part of the problem in Orlando? No, not both. I don't think Brown will get fired that is why I was advocating the trade for Howard.
May 26, 201214 yr Trade Trade Gasol for the best player you can get. Trade in Artest if a team will take him. The only bench players I would bring back(if this were possible) I am open to trading them all Matt Barnes-Forward Jordan Hill-Center Josh McRoberts-Forward Troy Murphy-Forward/Center Steve Blake-Guard Startes Left Kobe Bryant Andrew Bynum Ramon Sessions(Move to bench after getting a starting point guard in trade) That leaves four new players to be brought in. I trade Bynum, if I could get Howard Trade or cut anyone else not listed Give Brown another year
May 26, 201214 yr First and foremost, move Gasol. I'm so sick of him getting soft in the playoffs. He's such a....wuss. :thumb: Lowry and Scola would be plenty. I agree with people saying they're sick of the way Bynum approaches the game. It's exhausting. You don't know when he's going to show up, that's not what they need. If Howard is happy going to LA, I think he would benefit mentally from it and progress back to the dominant player he once was. If they can't get Howard, I think you need to trade for someone like Paul George, Andre Igoudala, Gerald Wallace...not sure who to trade for those guys but Kobe can't do it by himself anymore. I'd give Mike Brown another year or two. Van Gundy is a solid head coach, but I don't think Brown had a ton to do with the Lakers losing the last series. They just were not the better team.
