Obama is not pushing gay rights. He said he supports same sex marriage. Just like he supports the states' rights to allow same sex marriage in their state.

If he supported gay marriage so much I'm curious as to why he waited until now to do anything about it.

The current administrations energy policies, or lack of policies, are crippling exploration, drilling, production, and construction of new refineries and pipelines. Producers I have worked with for years are selling their equipment to overseas companies. As a direct result 25 or more of my co-workers are getting the pink slip. I don't see that he's done anything about other than saying that he supports it. Has there or will there be any action behind his words is my question. UKMF is a gay rights/marriage person but I sincerely doubt that Obama's declaration will get him UKMF's vote. I am for gay rights/marriage but Obama's declaration doesn't mean he is going to do anything about it and other than lip service I don't think he will do anything about it. He'll still get my vote.
