May 10, 201214 yr I feel like Brandon Morrow did this one year.I looked it up. He did: Brandon Morrow 2008 Pitching Gamelogs - Baseball-Reference.com
May 10, 201214 yr Once again, it's not Little League. When you are pinch hit for, you are done. There is no re-entry rule. Edit, I was given bad info on Heisey entering the game. Dusty made the right moves today For the record I'm all for Chapman not closing games if their plan is for him to be a starter this year. Closer is the most overrated spot in baseball. I would much rather pick and choose spots in the lineup to use Chapman in the 7th 8th or both.
May 10, 201214 yr I'll say it again, it's my firm belief if he's gonna be in the pen, he needs to be at the rearend of it. If not, start him.
May 10, 201214 yr I would think they would have to ease him in. Either long relief or a trip down to Louisville to adjust. I would think it would take quite a few minor league starts build the endurance needed to be a starter. Is it wise to take your best bullpen weapon off the MLB team for a prolonged amount of time? I don't think it happens this season.

May 10, 201214 yr Hes not on this team  He said was it due to control in past that he wasn't a closer. I said yes and because the Reds had a good closer. Rereading his post he probably just meant his control issues in the past is the reason he isn't closing now.

May 10, 201214 yr I'll say it again, it's my firm belief if he's gonna be in the pen, he needs to be at the rearend of it. If not, start him. Why? Isn't it better to have him available for all difficult situations in a tight game late rather than just in save situations in the 9th?
May 10, 201214 yr Why? Isn't it better to have him available for all difficult situations in a tight game late rather than just in save situations in the 9th? Who says he has to be 9th only? I'd be tickled to see him in the 8th with 1 out come in and shut the door, then finish the game.
