That's all Dusty needs to see. Get him up here.

While on the plus side Hamilton did have the two strikeouts, the triple (bat + speed) will keep Dusty from getting him up here. The last thing Dusty needs is to have another player on the roster who should be in the lineup rather than Rolen.

Hamilton Blazes Trail in Double-A Debut

Hamilton blazes trail in Double-A debut | MiLB.com News | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball

Billy Hamilton is so fast, he can steal even when the other team knows he's going.

The Reds' No. 1 prospect stole second and smacked an RBI triple in his Double-A debut as Pensacola fell to Chattanooga, 5-1, on Wednesday.

After striking out in his first two at-bats, Hamilton reached base in the sixth inning on a forceout. With the Minor League leader in stolen bases (104) on first, the Lookouts paid careful attention to Hamilton, having pitcher Matt McGill throw over to first three straight times. With an 0-1 count, the Lookouts called for an well-timed pitchout as Hamilton took off for second. The 21-year-old shortstop still beat the throw, giving him his first Southern League stolen base.

Two innings later, Hamilton collected his first hit with the Blue Wahoos, tripling home David Vidal with two outs.

Hamilton has had an action-packed month. After reaching 100 stolen bases for the second straight season on July 2, the 2009 second-round pick hit a two-run triple for Team USA in the Futures Game on Sunday.

Overall this season Hamilton is batting .323 with 79 runs scored, 10 triples and 105 stolen bases in 83 Minor League games.

McGill improved to 7-4, fanning seven and allowing three hits over six shutout innings for the Lookouts.

Luis Nunez was 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs and Gorman Erickson drove in a pair of runs for Chattanooga

Yorman Rodriguez Named Offensive Player of the Week in the Midwest League

Midwest League

Yorman Rodriguez, Dayton

(.464/.483/.893, 7 G, 13-for-28, 4 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 6 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 1 CS)

The Reds signed Rodriguez for $2.5 million as a 16-year-old, and despite a disappointing 2011 season cut short by a shoulder injury, he began the season at Class A Advanced Bakersfield as Cincinnati's No. 9 prospect. After a miserable .156/.181/.200 start in his first 23 Cal League games, the Reds reassigned him to Dayton. Still just 19 years old, Rodriguez seems to have recovered his confidence at the plate -- he reeled off four straight multi-hit games this week and went deep on both Friday and Saturday -- and is again showing the vast potential the Reds hoped for in 2009.

So who would you trade for Major League help?

Gregorius, Joseph, Lamarre, Lotzkar, Villareal, Soto...Those would be pieces that should interest other teams...Depending on who the Reds were trading for I could see parting with Henry Rodriguez or Donald Lutz possibly as well although I think they will be pretty good big league players...

Soto makes sense because of Votto

Yeah he is definitely blocked and he is having a down year but should still have value to other teams...Lutz is another guy who is really a first baseman but has also been tried in LF because the guy can flat out hit and hasnt even been playing baseball for very long...Gregorius is a slick glove and may be just as good as Cozart but the Reds already have Cozart, BP and Hamilton who they wont trade...Lotzkar has nice stuff and could be an ace if he can clean up his mechanics and improve his control however the Reds have Corcino and Cingrani who are probably thought of by the Reds as better prospects so they can afford to trade Lotzkar and he could be a centerpiece...Joseph is a very good reliever but he is just a reliever so the Reds could probably part with him in the right package...

A package of Lotzkar, Joseph, Gregorius and Soto would be a good package to dangle in a trade and would probably bring back the best return without parting with Hamilton, Cingrani or Corcino...

Reds signed two more picks before the deadline yesterday; they did a very good job of signing almost all of there picks...Both of these signings are very good, Ortiz was almost a lock not to sign and Vincej was thought to be returning back to school...

#17 Ortiz, high school catcher

#37 Vincej, Pepperdine shortstop (national college shortstop of the year)
